Hi Y'all,
I was wondering if anyone could provide insight on my situation. I switched from H4 to F1 when I aged out a few years ago. I am currently in Medical school now here in U.S. and would like to get the F-1 stamped in my passport for the first time. What do you recommend doing?
1) go to my home country to get it stamped (India)?
2) go to Mexico or Canada? I would prefer this one since I hardly get any time off from school but don't know if it's advisable since I have family in the U.S.
3) not leave the country?
Any suggestions or personal stories are welcome--I need to get it stamped so I can travel in and out of the country but I am also aware of the risks. So if anyone is in the same situation or has been in the same situation, I would really appreciate your suggestions.
