I20 and F1 VISA questions

Hi,

I recently got admitted to US university for MBA full time course. I have already applied for I20, but now I have few questions

1. Can I show different sources of funds during VISA interview than I showed for I20 ?

2. I have collected the funds from number of friends recently, I believe I still have a month to go for VISA. If they ask for bank statment during the VISA appointment, will these suddent transaction (around a month or two old) create a problem ?

I-20 will mention fund source as self, family or sponsor etc. according to what you sent to the university. It will not have details. It is good to show the same source in the interview if asked for.

You have to come up with a convincing answer. I understand your problem, I did not have sufficient funds myself, but instead of transferring funds to my account I managed by getting sponsorship letters and keeping the funds in sponsor's accounts. You should have done that.
