F1 to H1 change

Hello people,

I am currently doing my MS (evening classes, joined spring 09) with F1 visa. My classes are between 6 and 9 pm, and I am free during the day time. Can I work during the day time (assuming there is an employer ready to file H1B for me)? And will there be any impact on my current F1 visa? And is it legally possible to change to H1 from F1 before the course completes?

Once you change from F1 to H1, you are bound to the H1b status rules (about getting paid and working for 40hrs/week) than the F1 rules (9 credit hrs during regular semester). You can study part time or full time or whenever once you are on H1b. You cannot qualify for OPT or any other student benefits like assistantships/GA/TA/RA.
