f1 visa extension

i am an international student on f1 visa. i have completed my studies and my opt has expired. i would like to continue my education. can i further my education? is it possible to get an f1 visa extension in my case?

Are you within 60 days of OPT end date? You can transfer schools within this period and continue in F1 status.

my 60 day period is also ended. i was not able to get a school before then. what are my options now? getting a school will take me another year at least right?
