I was a student on an F1 visa in the United States, until I got sick and my professor withdrew me from his class for being absent one too many times. My enrolled credits that semester dropped below 12, and that meant I was in violation of my visa. I applied for reinstatement, but it got rejected, and within a month I left the United States.
So my question is, will I be able to apply for an F1 visa for Graduate study in the US? I know that once your reinstatement application is rejected, you're bound to apply for any non-immigrant visa from your home country. But what are my chances realistically of being granted an F1 visa in the future? Will my previous reinstatement rejection affect my chances?
I am finishing my bachelors in my home country and really want to return to the US for masters. This horrible feeling that I will never be allowed to return is eating away at me. Can anyone confirm or allay this fear somewhat?
