Need F1 Info

Hello,

I'm working in the US on L1B visa and it's valid till Feb 2011.
I'm planning to go back to school by taking a full-time courses here in the US.
So, I think I need to get into F1 visa, correct ?

I have never been on F1 visa before.

I have the following questions:

1) Can I do interships as a part of my course here in the US on F1 Visa ?
I heard that people who previously were in the US on L1 / H1 visas are not eligible for interships ?

2) Can I get OPT after I graduate ?
I heard that people who previously were in the US on L1 / H1 visas are not eligible for OPT ?

I'm really confused. Please let me know.

1. Yes after meeting the minimum requirements of F1 for coop/internships. It was 9 months or 2 full semesters of course load AFAIK in the past.

Nice to hear that my L1 will not stop from getting an intership here in the US :-)

It's a 2 years course.

Also, could you specify what are the minumum number of courses / credits does one needs to take to get an internship / coop here in the US ?
