Rgistering For Clss While Pregnant

My wife is a F-1 student who is pregnant now. Expected due date is in March, 2010. I am a GC holder eligible to apply for citizenship in November, 2009. Can my wife skip the spring semester due to her pregnancy or she has to continue her studies. In the mean while if I get approved for my citizenship, I can apply for her change of status. Please advice.

She has to be registered for the class to maintain her own status until she can file for a GC. If she drops out of class, she loses F1 status. Check with the international student advisor if a medical exemption of any sort exists. You can also try a reduced course load.
