Hi,
I am a student on F1 and came to US in Fall 2006. My wife and daughter also came on F2 status. My wife got admission later one semester and is now on F-1 status. we are planning to go to INdia to visit the family and also stamping on her passport, but since these days so many people getting stuck with the stamping thing (taking4-5 months). we are postponing our visit every time. we want go atleast once before getting graduated and starting OPT (or transition from F1 to H1B).
I have heard of so many similar cases and delaying processes.
Is it really a general scenerio these days.
Why the stamping process taking so long. I can't think of bad economy as the reason for making people staying in india for 4-5 months. As we are already in US and would be affecting the economy.
Any reply or help woule be appreciated.
