I just finished my Master's degree and current in my OPT (Oct 12 2009 - Oct 11 2010). I have to leave the country by Jan 11 2010 if I still have not got any job. My bf, who is a US citizen, and I, have been together for 4 years. Though our initial plan was to get married in 2 years but we decided to get married now in order to have me stay together with him legally. We won't have any official ceremony till I have a job and save enough money. I have also declined a job offer back home so that I can stay here with him. Do you see any problems in the process of applying green card in this case? I am worried that the immigrant officials would think our marriage is not bona-fide due to the fact that I have to leave US in Jan if I have not got a job offer. I would like to know what are the chances to get an approval of getting a green card in such case? Thank you so much! Erika
