I am on OPT working at a University as researcher, with opt expiring next January, and my current employer started the process to file my H1B but I have not gotten USCIS receipt yet. I was offered a new job with another University and they will start the process to file for my H1B. When can I quit my current job? I am afraid that my current employer will withdraw my H1B filing and I will be out of status even though my opt is not expired yet. When is the best time to tell them I am leaving?
