  • probability of F2 getting rejected

    hi
am currently in US on B2 (tourist) visa and am planning to apply for F2 here itself, since my husband is on F1.the OISS told us that there is a probability that the visa might get rejected based on original intent.rest of the supporting documents are in place.has anyone ever done this before? and what are the chances of the visa getting rejected and on what basis?

and if my F2 is rejected for any reason, will my B2 as well stand cancelled?

    thanks
    sonal

Status change from B2 is most probably rejected. Best way is to go to home country, apply for F2 visa and enter in F2 status.
If COS is denied, your B2 visa will remain valid and you may continue to stay in the US until your I-94 date.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
