Internship
My son Prashant Goel is Studying at Manipal Institute of Technology India and is in his 7th semester of Bachelors programme in Computor Sciences. His Institute requires him to ungergo a 16 weeks Internship (on job trainning). The internship is to begin in First week of Jannuary which will completed by end of April/first week of May'05. On 15 May 2005 he has to report back to his College for his final assessment of 8th semester, so will passout in june/July2005.
I have tied up with a Company located in Portland Oregon who is willing to admit him as Intern with a Stipend of US$500/- per week.
Since the Company is not a educational body it cannot issue I-20.
I need your help as to what class of Visa he should apply?
What kind of letter employing Comny needs to send us?
I am willing and able to support my son for his Airfare , Boarding lodging and other expenses during his stay in US Internship.
Please help us as how to proceed for applying the Visa.
