Could anyone help me?
My friend's E2 visa has expired one week ago as he quit his job. It was abusive company and he could not have time to prepare to apply for school before. Now, he is out of status. But he is applying to school for MBA program since thats what he wanted to do.
He will get his I-20 next Friday, and apply immigration the change of status. Do you think he will be able to get F1 status? I think he is doing the best he can to make a quick action.
If he go back and apply for F1 visa in Japan, there is more risk of not being able to come back.
Some lawer said immigration will not find out he has quit his job since he does not have to submit the proof that he is still working.
Please let me know. I want to help him.
