Procedure to get married

Hi

Me and my gf r planing to getin married. can anybody tell me the whole procedure of getin married in USA?

What are the steps and requirements (for F1 student)?

Marrying in the US

I am doing the same thing soon.

First you get a marriage license and get married. Depending on the state all you might need at this step is show a valid pasport/drivers license. Call the county recorder in your county to learn the exact document requirements for your state.

Then you need to file all of the following together with USCIS to adjust your status from F1 to resident:

• I-130
• I-485, possibly also I-485A
• I-765
• I-131
• G-325A for both of you (2 forms)
• I-864
• I-693

I have still not gone through the process myself, so if anyone has anything to add it would be appreciated

That was assuming one of you is a US citizen. If not, you would need to file different forms.
