F2 visa help

Hello,

I have been married for 3 years now.
My husband has got an admit from a University in the USA. It is a one year course.

We are confused about how to apply for a visa.

• Shall we apply for F1 and F2 together or separately?
• Shall we apply for my husband's F1 first and then apply for a F2 for me? If so, then after how many weeks/months shall we apply for F2 for myself?
• Shall I apply for a tourist visa after he starts studying there?
• Or, do you suggest any other option?

Please help! Really need your help!
