Hello,
My friend has some issues with his CPT and wanted to get them answered. Here is his situation:
He started working on his internship for a company from June,2017 and he had received an I-20 from university, which would allow him to work from June,2017 to May, 2018.
Now, he initially started as full time and then in Jan 2018, he decided to work part time. He told his university about this and got a new I-20. This new I-20 was also valid until May, 2018.
Once his cpt expired in May,2018 he missed to tell his university about this and continued to work until feb, 2019 as part time.
He has another internship for this summer and here is when he has realized this error he has made.
With this, here are his questions:

With this, here are his questions:
- What are consequences now for him? Should he tell his university about this?
- Can his university suspend him and thereby he has to leave U.S?
- Should he stop worrying about this and not mention it anywhere?
- What consequences can this cause in future for his H1-B and GC?
