F1 visa stamping in middle of semester

Hi,

I'll be traveling to India this month (Sister Marriage). My wife will also be traveling with me. My wife is currently on F-1 visa status ( was on H-4 before).
My question is...

Is it a problem for F-1 student to go overseas for 3 weeks when school is in session ? She also needs to go for stamping in India for change of status from H4 to F1 ?
