1. My immediate relative is married to a US citizen and is living in usa since the last 3 years.
what should be the status that I mention in the DS 160 form? she has not applied for a change in status yet.
2. My another immediate relative is also married to a US citizen, has EAD. he has applied for a change of status and the process is ongoing right now.
what should be the status that I mention for them in the DS 160?
3. how does this factor affect my chances of getting a student visa? I will not be studying in the same city as my relatives.

You are supposed to mention only parents, siblings, etc within your own family. Far-flung relatives outside your immediate family are not needed on the form.
