H4 to f1- financial documents reqd

Hi All,

I am in H4 Visa right now. Have got an admission from an univ and started my master's this sem. But I am planning to change my status to F1 for FALL 2010.I have been asked to submit the financial doc for 29,000 USD from my univ.
But I don't think we have so much amount in our bank acc. Can we submit the vested shares & 401K of my husband as a proof of financial support?

Will this financial doc be sent to USCIS also, for processing or it is just for the univ alone to process my I 20?

If I arrange by some means the 29000 USD, how long should this amount be available in my account?

You dont need this much amount in your bank account. Your spouse letter of employment indicating his yearly salary will work out just fine plus he needs to submit a affidavit of support that he is going to support you for ur Masters.
