I was laid off today. My F-1 OPT expiry date is July 1st, 2019. I have already applied to Stem OPT extension but did not get the receipt yet.
My H1B was picked in the lottery. It is not yet approved.
I was wondering what the consequences might be? I am not sure about my visa status going forward.
What steps can I take to maintain my visa status?
