Hello everyone,
I know that currently people who have applied for OPTs are having to endure an excruciatingly long wait before getting their EADs, but I just wanted to know if there is a possibility of getting an expedited decision on my case.
USCIS received my case on May 20. The same day I got a job offer as a science teacher. I accepted the offer, and the start date for new teachers is in Mid-August. Now, I know that financial loss to a person/having a job offer does not satisfy USCIS's criteria for expedite, but I was wondering if I would meet the "financial loss to a company" criteria. The school that hired me is considered a high need school in a major US city's school system, and my position is considered a "hard to staff" position. So, would I have any chance with this or should I just wait it out and hope I get approved before the start of the school year? Thank you for your help!
