Hello All,
I am planning to travel to India because of some family emergency. But, I am scared to hear stories from people that F1 VISA renewal taking more than 6 months even if someone eligible for interview waiver. I just wanted to know if it is a common thing in recent times, or only a few cases are like that. My F1 got renewed in 2015 and I got 4 years of extension.
It would be a great help if anyone shares their recent experience of F1 renewal or give me some suggestion on what to do at this stage? I am planning to defend my Ph.D. thesis this semester, so I am not sure if I want to take the risk of going to India at this point.
