I am currently on H4 and have applied for H4 to F1 COS in June'19 and its getting processed at CSC. I might have to go to India in Feb and I am confused around how I should plan my trip.
CSC currently says 4.5 to 6 months as the processing time for i539 forms and if I go by this timeline I think I can expect some decision by December.
1. Is it advisable to believe in processing times that USCIS provides or these are not right and processing times are much longer?
2. Does having an approved COS mean that you are guaranteed an F1 stamping? Is there a possibility of rejection even with approved COS from H4 to F1.
It would be great if anyone can share the current processing times for H4 to F1 COS.
