Hey, I am on F-1 OPT right now. A few months back i had joined a desi consultancy since they were offering an unpaid internship ( in guise of saving my unemployment days as my offer from a FT role had been rescinded due to sponsorship issues at the very last minute - the team/org i was going to join refused to sponsor for unknown reasons ). I was there for like a few weeks before landing another role. In that time period when i was there, I did get trained on IT tech but they were also asking me to add false experience on my resume ( something which i didn't expect/. should have asked if they had such low ethics before joining ). I do agree its my mistake to have not asked them prior to coming onboard. But i left before they could force me to do so since i landed another legit offer. Now, in all this, my question is the ability to travel to India for even a few days / if i get my H1 stamped, will this past experience on my record be an issue during my re-entry?.
TL.DR : Joined a desi consultancy unaware that even they ask you to false experience on resumes, added that company to my SEVIS record, I left that place without even getting close to them forcing me to **** resume, now on H1 planning to travel in next few months once the lockdown is removed. But having seen so many similar deportation cases, wondering if it was a bad decision that ruined my life till a great extent.!.
Advice would be greatly appreciated.
