Hi all,
I applied for F1 visa earlier this year. I was put on Administrative proccesssing. Mean while my joining date in uni expired and I request them to issue me new I-20 form. When this new I-20 form was on its way to me through courier, I received my visa for 5years, on 20th of May 2010. After two days I received my new I-20 with joining date in 13th Sept 2010. All other thing like my sevis Id, school name and other expenses remains same on new i-20.
There are atleast four months before Oct, untill then I will not be using my visa and I will stay in my home country(Pakistan). How long can i stay in my country without invalidating F1 visa?
Also, on new I-20 form nothing is changed except my joining dates, my sevis id and school name and expenses remains same. DO i need to inform immigration officer again that I have new I-20 and previous one, with which i received visa, is invalid now?
