I am an F-1 with OPT and recently I filed for an adjustment of Status and EAD card, but USCIS sent a request for initial evidence which substantially delayed my process as the documentation requested has been hard to get due to COVID. Does anyone know what will happen if I'm still waiting for my new work permit (applied through the AOS) but my OPT expires? will I lose my job? Can I keep working because I filed my AOS ? (assuming I satisfy the request for Initial Evidence before my OPT expires)?
