DS - 160 Urgent Query!!

Hi,

I am currently at NY on an L1 visa and would be returning in July. I am filling up the DS - 160 form to get an F-1 visa. The school I would be attending is CMU for the MISM program. I have doubts with regard to the following questions in the form:-

1. Have you been 10 -printed?
--> As far as I remember, when I got my L1 visa in Nov 2008, all my 10 finger prints were taken. But, well, i dont trust my memory at all!

2. Have you travelled to any countries in the last 5 years?
--> Do they mean other than US here? I have been in the US since Jan 2009. So, I guess, I should be answering this question as 'Yes' and selecting US from the drop down. What say?

3. Employment information.
--> Now this is a tricky one. I am employed when I am filling up the form. But, I wont be employed when I give the interview. As I mentioned previously, I am going to be back in India in the first week of July and I am hoping to get a visa appointment somewhere in the second week at Mumbai. Any suggestions here? I have entered current employment details and answered the quetsion asking about whether i was previously employed or not to No.

Hello,

1. You wanto provide a truthful answer, so you should find out for sure if you were 10 printed.

2. You want to put all countries you have traveled to.

3. Previously employer wants your work experience for the ast five years. Present employer wants where you currently work.

Thanks a lot for the response.
1. I have already sent out an email to VFS asking for whether I was 10-printed or not. So, I guess I will wait for their response.
2. Yes the only country i have traveled to in the last 5 years is the US.
3. As I interpret the same way as you have mentioned, I think i should enter my current employer's details and keep the prev employer details blank. However, my current employer is a US company and I would be released only on July 09th. I am planning to appear for the interview anytime after July 17th. So, basically, my dilemma is that while i am filling the form sitting here, I am emplyed. But, when I appear for the interview I would not be employed. Your thoughts on the same..

While filling education section i am puzzle about question. Have you attended any educational institutions other than elementary schools.

I have write down my bachelors and college education information.

Does elementary schools means 10 Years of school Metric ?

Please advise do I need to add my 10 years of school education , in addition with by higer education ?

Elementary school refers to standard 1st to 09th. I have thereby entered the details of 10th standard, 12th standard and Bachelors. For 10th and 12th standard, you may enter the 'Course' as Academic or Vocational depending on what you have done.

I did not undrestand I am living in pakistan let me share my education then tell me what will i fill regarding my school.

2 years Bachelors

2 years college (H.S.C)

10 years School (S.S.C) 1-5 class Primary school 6-10 class Secondary school which includes 9-10 Metric

So what should I fill regarding my S.S.C

Please seniors advise.
