Help Need regarding F1

Hi

I am Currently in US and In H4 visa.Planning to study in US.My problem is My Name in all Mark sheets and certrificate is having differrent spelling from passport.I applied for Passport with voter ID.Now if i want to go for studies in US and i need to change to student visa.

What should I do.
Change name in passport or change spelling in certificates.

1.What is the procedure to change spelling in passport.
2.I Lived here for more than 2 and half years and In visa and in I 94 i have spelling same as passport .
If i change in passport will that create problem in visa.

1. There is nothing like spelling wrong. passport will have a name that you mentioned in the passport application. if they printed it wrong, you can contact passport office for correction.

2. Yes, you need a new visa if you change your name.
