H1 to F1

Hi,
I am on H1 my visa is going to expiry in Sept'2010 and i am having no project to extend my visa. I am planned for F1, i got I-20 from X university. We can stay with I-20 as legal. We have to intimate to USCIS or what is the next step.

I-20 is not enough. You will need to apply for change of status using form I-539.

you need to apply for the change of status with USCIS to be in status

You need to apply with I-20 for USCIS to change your status.

School's international student Advisor usualy explains you how to do it.
Make sure you contact one in your school.Just keeping the I-20 in ryou hand will not make you legal.
