What to do to enter US before 30 day limit for students?

My course starts in august 2021 but i have to attend my sisters wedding in june in texas. Will i be able to travel earlier than the 30 days entry limit for student visa or do i have to exit the country and enter within the 30 day limit? Can anyone please explain?

Hi,
If this is first time you are going to travel on F1 visa, then you will not be allowed to enter the United States on your student visa more than 30 days before the start date.. If you have any plan to visit USA for other reason, you can try for B visa for that duration.

Does it really depend on the number of times you got F1 visa? I though that you simply at all are not allowed to enter the United States on your student visa more than 30 days before the start. PERIOD
