If rejected for F1 can we try for F2

I wanted to know that do any problems occcur if we try for F2 once we get rejected for F1?
I have been rejected thrice for F1.

F2 is only for dependants. If you are on F-1, then your wife or kids can be on F2. Don't confuse F-1 and F-2. If you want to study (MS) in the US then you need an F-1.

actually, i have been rejected thrice for the F1 visa . and my fiance is there in the US..so i wanted to know whether he can come here for our marriage and then can i apply for F2.as he is there on F1..and after going to the US,i can change my status from F2 to F1..
