Can I stay legally in US after I graduate while waiting for my F2 visa is approved?

I’m going to graduate in August, 2021. I and my husband are holding F1 visa, my husband will start his OPT in June, 2021. He will apply F2 for me in July, 2021 (before I graduate).So can I stay legally in the US after I graduate while waiting for my F2 visa is approved? Thank you so much

Hi,
If you apply change of status before your current status expires then you can stay in the USA with the help of change of status petition receipt notice.
