Query about validity of F2 visa
Hello all,
I went to US with F1 in Jan 2017 and my F1 stamp is valid until Dec 4, 2021. I just got married and I am in the process of applying for my wife's F2 visa.
There is a little twist here. Although my F1 stamp is valid until Dec 4, 2021, my STEM OPT is valid until July 2022. (This is because my standard program length extended because of the thesis project.) So technically I will still have valid F1 status until July 2022.
I was wondering if my wife's F2 will be valid until Dec 4, 2021, or until July 2022.
Please suggest. Thank you!
