Hey everyone, I found this forum during a trying time and need the community's help.
I was supposed to graduate in the summer (2022), I had applied for my OPT, received my EAD card which was supposed to start on August 15, and already had a job lined up. however, I could not pass one class due to which I had to re enroll in school in the Fall. I am not sure if I could still use my OPT once I graduate. The DSO suggested I cancel my OPT and hope USCIS accepts my re application when I graduate or convert it into a pre-completion OPT and work 20 hours a week to maintain status and start working fulltime once my degree is conferred.
I'm very confused on what to do and would love some advice.
Thank you!
