Hello. I have a question regarding starting internship on CPT and continuing the same internship on OPT after graduation.
I'll be starting a 12month part-time internship program (20 hour/week) in January-2023 and will graduate in March-2023. I'll start my internship on CPT and then continue the internship on OPT post graduation. The university’s international student advisor has said that I'll require 2 offer letters - one for CPT and one for OPT - and the job titles need to be different during the OPT and CPT periods which means I cannot have the same job title in OPT which I had during the CPT period. Has anyone faced a similar situation? Is that a requirement which needs to be met? Can we not have the same job titles? What can I do to meet this requirement? Can I ask the recruiter to have different external facing job titles on the offer letter but will work part-time as an intern?
