I had an f1 visa for the last five years. I have been working on OPT for the past year and I’m getting an OPT extension for two more years. However, my f1 visa is expiring soon. In order to get an extension on my f1 https://speedtest.vet/ , do I need to go to my home country and go through the steps of getting a new visa? Or is there a different process to extend my visa through OPT?

Why do you want to have a valid F1 visa? Is it because you have plans to travel abroad?
