Passport collection from VFS center bangalore

Hi, I got an email that my passport is ready for pickup but it had no further instructions. Do I need an appointment to pickup my documents from the bangalore vfs center? I couldn't find a way to book such an appointment on the website.

Google search gave me mixed answers and left me confused. Please let me know if any of you went for pickup from the vfs center and how to go about it. Thanks.
