Hello everyone, ☺
I'm in the US as a tourist, and will be submitting a change of status I-539. I already received my I-20, school admission letter, and paid the SEVIS fee.
I want to do it the right way, and would like to ask a quick question to see if anyone can give me advice.
I'm filling out I-539 online on the USCIS portal, and would like to know what documents should I attach to my application to avoid any delays. So far I understand the following are required, and would appreciate any feedback:
- Admission Letter from school.
- I-20
- SEVIS payment receipt
- I-94
- Passport and Visa
- Bank statements
- Letter from my employer in my country
- Copy of taxes in my country
With that being said, I was also advised by my school to submit Form I-134, Declaration of Financial Support. This form is provided by a family member in the United States, and I want to know if I should submit this form at the same time I file everything with I-539, Change of Status, or if these forms need to be filed separately?
Thanks for any information
