I am currently working in Bangalore, India from June 1 2004 .
I would like to go for Phd and would like to take your
suggestion regarding US visa.
I have been approved an F-1 visa to pursue my Masters
in fall 2001 for 5 years staring on June 2001 to June
2006 and have completed my Masters in May 2004. I have
applied my OPT and was been approved for OPT from June
2004 to June 2005. Eventually, I came back to India
after my Masters and working in India.
After One year I am now planning to go for my Phd for fall 2005
for the same university.Since I have a valid F1 visa stamped till
2006 for the same university, do I need to appear in US
consulate for visa stamping again. Will I have any problem at the port
of entry with the current visa I have.
Please let me know if I can go with the curent visa or do I need to get
an other visa stamped for Phd in order to pursue Phd.
