Soon im travelling to Thailand for some travelling. I booked a flight via shenzhen as I would like to check it out before moving on (and many connecting flights pass through) I’m in shenzhen for 3 days for moving on to Phuket. I realised recently though that Hong Kong is only a short distance (relatively) from shenzhen and wanted to visit. I know they are visa free but unsure whether this would be violating the terms of the 144hr hour visa???? VidMate

If you want to visit Hong Kong during your 3-day stay in Shenzhen under the 144-hour visa exemption, please note that this may make you ineligible for this policy, as leaving Shenzhen to enter Hong Kong will be counted as leaving mainland China. To avoid this, you can choose to fly directly from Hong Kong to Phuket without returning to Shenzhen. Or, you can stay in Shenzhen for the entire 3-day period and visit Hong Kong another time.
