F2 visa rejected withour any reason

Hi my name is vigya. i was rejected for f2 visa on 14th jan 2011. the visa counslate asked me 4 question as follows
VC: hi, how r u
Me: Hello, good morning
VC: Why do want to go to US?
Me: To be with my husband and to support him emotionally and physically.
VC: What is he studying there?
Me: he has completed his studies and is currently on OPT status.
VC: When did you get married?
Me: on 11th dec 2011
VC: when is his OPT getting valid upto?
ME: his OPT is valid upto 13th may 2011 but he is gonna get it extented for more 17 months.
VC: M sorry you do not qualify for this visa, thanks

She gave me one paper which states that my visa is rejected under section 214(b) but she didn't explain me the reason why did she rejected my visa, she didn't even bothered to see my marriage certificate or any kind of marriage proof. i want to know what reason made her reject the visa. i want to reapply so wat care shud i take frm now..........

214b is basically immigrant intent.
Your wife will need to show ties to home country such as property, family or job. Having a clear and convincing answer as to how she will spend her time in the US will also be helpful (since on F2 she is not allowed to work or study).

thanks a lot sir, but she didn't ask me any questions related to that. i have my business in india so proving ties to my country wud nt have been tough for me. my husband's OPt is valid upto 14th may 2011, so can that be a reason for her rejection???

Exact same scenario with my wife on 10th Jan. Why would they deny dependents visas? Guys, whats your strategy for next time. I really find myself helpless. Is the decision apeallable? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

She was asked:

1. What am I doing?
2. How many semesters left? I am graduating this semester and applied for OPT
3. Why do you want to go just for one semester?
4. Who is sponsoring me?

And she got the rejection slip.

Thats it.
She answered everything honestly.

Whats your planning? When are you reapplying? Where did you apply?
I believe the reason for my wife rejection could be just a few months left for my graduation. Not sure. She got 214(b).

In my case, currently my husband is on 1st 12 month OPT which is valid till may 2011, so we r applying for the 17 months extension of OPT in the feb month and after the extension is approved i will apply again.
I will suggest you to apply again after you start working on OPT.

M asking this to everybody who got F2 denied so that we can workout on the reasons for denial n wud rectify those thing wen apply next time.

My question is simple has anyone reapplied for an F2 visa for the third time and got it approved and under what curcumstances. Please do let me know as i have my visa got rejected twice as my husband is on CPT and the reason given was that my husband was working and not studying the question of funds never arised in my situation.

Nop, i have nt yet applied as my husband's EAD card is yet to come. probably he will b getting it in 2 weeks time. so i will apply after that.
