L1 to F1 transfer
Hi All,
Please help me. I need advice on below scenario:
Currently I am on L1 and my company wants me to come back from US. My I-94 is valid till 2012.
Due to some personal reason, I want to stay here so that I can file H1B in US. Below is what I have planned but I have few doubts.
I want to change my status from L1 to F1 and take admission to one of the school so that I can stay here till April 2011 when new H1 application will start. The classes are starting only in May 2011. My question is, if I resign my current employer now and they cancel my L1, can I stay in US till (May 2011) decision on my F1 comes?
Please suggest if you know any better way.
