applicant type for f2 visa and purpose of trip if applying for dependent visa

my husband is on F1 visa. i want to apply for f2 visa. please guide me for what should i select for type of applicant principal applicant? and also is it necessary for me to have sevid id?
what should i select for purpose of trip?
