EAD Validity Problem

Hello everyone , I'm a F1 student and my OPT period has started two months back. During this period of OPT, I was working in a company for a while(1 and half month). I just lost the job few days back. My question is
1) Does my employer inform DHS(Homeland Security) when I'm on OPT
2) Does my period of 90 days un-employment got started

Please, suggest me the way to avoid my un-employment days to get started. I will highly appreciate for helping me out.
