Visa for spouse when on student visa

Hi All,

I am planning for student visa to US/Singapore. I wish to know the following:

1. How easy or difficult is it to get visa for the spouse?
2. Will the spouse be allowed to work on the visa?

I would also like to know if there is any method in which if I go and study, my spouse can acquire a working permit.

I don't know anything about Singapore.
In US, you can study on an F1 student Visa. You will need to get admitted to a degree program in a good university first. Read information on this in the Visas section of this site.
