I did my masters and then entered OPT. During OPT period I used SEVIS number of one consultancy (with their approval) and also extended my OPT under STEM but throught out the OPT period and OPT extension period i didnt do any job (except last two months). So obviously due to lack of job when i filed for taxes along with my husband (he is on H1B visa) my income was $0. My OPT expired recently. Now i am on CPT (on I20 from another university) and currently working. I am going to file for H1 in this years quota. Does the $0 income in my last couple of years Tax filing effect my H1B application? Can any one give me the idea about the cosequences i need to face?
