I am already on a F1 visa, and my wife will be joining me on a F2. While filling out the DS-160 form under the section - Are you the principle applicant - I have responded 'No' for my wife, and entered my information as the principle applicant.
Is that correct? I am hearing conflicting information, and it does not mention clearly what should be the procedure, if a dependent is applying for a visa in the case where the primary applicant is already holding a visa. I have heard that since I already hold a visa the principle applicant should be my wife. But a few others are saying what I have filled out is correct.
Please advice. I have already filled out the DS 160 form and scheduled an interview. I am not sure, if this needs to be cancelled and redone.
