F1-valid, I-20 Expired. Leave country while on OPT?

My status:

- Just graduated from the flightschool
- OPT is approved
- Are currently working at my school as a flightinstructor for my OPT
- It says "NOT VALID FOR RE-ENTRY" on my EAD-card
- My F1-visa was renewed 15 days ago at the embassy
- My I-20 is expired, but on page 3, it says "OPT requested from 1. nov 2011-1.nov 2012"



Can I visit my homecountry in Europe and still return to USA?

Yes, absolutely. You already left the US once for getting your Visa right? No difference there.

So what you are telling me, is that I-20 does not have to be current?

Make sure the signature on 3rd page is less than 1 year old.
