  • Need help on F2 Visa, Once rejected.

Hi all, my F2 visa got rejected on 9th September, 2011 at Mumbai. Reason for rejection was section 214b (Immigrant Intent)

But i was not given chance to prove my non-immigrant visa nor didnt see any of my papers.

Please help me what supporting documents should i prepare to support my non-immigrant intent.

    thank you.

I'm also in same situation my spouse is in studying and not in OPT how about your situation is your spouse is in OPT or studying

regarding to your question, to prove non immigrant intent , any job in home country will help you or any immovable properties also.

Hi, my interview was as follows:

VO: is ur husband still continuing with the same university
      Me: yes
VO: in which subject is he doin Ph.D
      Me: Electrical and computer engg
      VO: Is he working?
Me: he is doing Teaching and Research assistanceship in his school
VO: wen is he expecting to complete?
      Me: May 2014

Then he starting writing something in the PC and gave a white paper which was stating that i was not able to convince him about my non-immigrant intent and to should show him strong ties in India.

I also asked that what was the problem but he told that they cant discuss problems but i can apply again and try again.

He didnt ask me 2 show any documents.

Have you faced the interview in past?

        Hi khushbooparmar,

I didnt go for the interview yet, planning to go soon.

Since your spouse is doing Ph.D you suppose to get visa, as Ph.D takes more time to complete, hope next time you may get it.

My spouse is doing MS and having the Research Assistantship but getting less amount, I'm thinking what to do in case of financial question is asked.

All the Best to you .
