Hi,
I graduated from college in May and am currently on OPT. My employer would like to sponsor me for H1b, but I had a question..
In between my junior and senior year, I was convicted of assault in Singapore. I had to do some community service, and ultimately the conviction was expunged. My question is when I go from F1 to H1 status, will I have to declare anywhere that I was convicted of a crime in a foreign country? I was never out of status before, so I didnt have to declare it as an F1 student.
Secondly, considering the crime is the equivalent of a misdemeanor, if I do have to declare it, what will the chances be on my H1 being rejected?
Thanks
